Samuel Farber is Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Brooklyn College, New York. He is the author, among other books, of Revolution and Reaction in Cuba (1976), Before Stalinism: The Rise and Fall of Soviet Democracy (1990), Social Decay and Transformation (2000), The Origins of the Cuban Revolution Reconsidered (2006), and Cuba Since the Revolution of 1959: A Critical Assessment (2011).
