Joseph Grim Feinberg researches concepts of political subjectivity at the intersection of cultural formations and social structure in Central and Eastern Europe. He is an editor of Contradictions: A Journal for Critical Thought, a co-founder of the research and publishing platform Former East, and a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences. His publications include The Paradox of Authenticity (2018), Karel Kosík and the Dialectics of the Concrete (co-edited with Jan Mervart and Ivan Landa, 2022), and the novel A Demonology of Desires (2025).
