After earning a master's degree in political philosophy from Sorbonne University and a master's degree in political theory from Sciences Po Paris, Alix Stéphan is now a doctoral student in philosophy at the LLCP (University of Paris 8). In her thesis, entitled “The figure of the spy through their narratives: Politics, power, and domination,” she examines spy stories (novels, films, etc.) through the interrogation of the practice of espionage from the perspective of the spy, reintegrating it into a political framework that allows for a full consideration of issues such as domination and commitment. Her book Découvrir Rimbaud is forthcoming in 2026 in the “les propédeutiques” collection of Éditions Sociales.
